  THE SNOWY DAY Craft for toddlers Inspired by the book THE SNOWY DAY , by Ezra Jack  Keats. Supplies : - shaving cream                   - white glue                   - dark blue, purple or black construction paper                    - brown construction paper                    - red construction paper                    - dark construction paper                    - light blue paint                   - paint brush                    - cotton swabs                   - Book " The snowy day" by Ezra Jack Keats Preparation Put a white copy paper on top of the character of the book and trace it.  Cut it out and trace it on a brown paper and a red one.  Cut out from the red figure's head, the lower part to show the face.  Glue the red over the brown. It is a two steps activity.  First step: Mix shaving cream with glue.  About one part of glue to two parts of shaving cream, it should resemble to whipped cream.  I made 4 bowls for 8 children.  If some of your students cannot

  SNAIL Craft for toddlers Supplies :  - cardstock                     - 2 sided tape                     - 1 foldable straw by child                     - black marker Preparation  Cut 2 big strips of cardstock per child and 1 half size.  Fold 1 big strip in 2 and put 1 piece of tape on top.  Put 1 piece of tape at each end of the other big strip and 1 piece at one end of the small one. Cut the straws to have the foldable part in the middle.  Pierce 2 holes to insert the straw.  My straws were bigger than the hole so i made a bigger one by punching 3 times. I attached with a paper clip what a child need for the project, to facilitate the activity when the children would be waiting at the table. One-on-one activity I started with the big strip with 2 tapes.  I peeled 1 corner of 1 tape and asked the child to do the rest.  Then asked him/her to help me to loop it and stick it on the tape.  Next we do the same with the small one.  Then we peeled the tape inside the big loop and instruct
